Cornish, Silva, and Mungeam

When you work for Golf World’s 1999 Architect of the Year, Brian Silva, you get the opportunity to work on some high profile projects.  Projects that have steep learning curves and exacting standards. Brian is considered one of America’s foremost experts on the work of designers from golf’s Golden Age of Architecture.  He wrote the first article on “template holes” in 2002 and was designing them before they came into vogue.  Combine this experience with master golf historian and under appreciated architect Geoffrey Cornish plus Mark Mungeam, the 2010, Golf Inc. Magazine “Best Value” golf course architect.  There was much to learn back in the day.

During the decade Tim was with CSM, he was responsible for all facets of project development, from marketing design services, contract proposal creation, development of design alternatives, master planning, design development, construction documents and calculation of construction estimates.  Heck he even ran a bulldozer during lunch when on site.  His specialty was detailed grading and drainage plans for all new course projects and especially the Florida renovations.  This includes The Breakers Ocean Course and The Everglades Club.

The partial course list highlights courses that   Tim worked on at the planning level and/or construction.
